The stale old way was to use baking sheets for damage/impact tests. Pan separators are a better way. They are cheaper and more uniform. If you are testing projectile/launcher pairs, I suggest adopting pan separators. In this video, I compare the Smasher XL in the Umarex TR68 to the Smasher XL in the Pistelle X-68. Please comment.
