In this video, I measure the Smasher XL and the standard Smasher; afterwards I shoot them both in the same Umarex HDB-68 launcher while measuring feet per second muzzle velocity and penetration. Kinetic energy is calculated in joules and momentum is measured. Results… the Smasher XL performed better. This was due to a better match between the diameter of the XL projectile and the barrel bore size of the Umarex HDB-68. Exact results will vary with the power of the launcher you use, but the constant is picking the Smasher model best suited to your barrel bore diameter. Of course you don’t want jams, so when in doubt, pick the smaller standard Smasher. Thank you.
