In this video, we test whether or not a Byrna LE CO2 launcher (about 16 joules) can penetrate an auto glass windshield using a Byrna Kinetic projectile (2.9 grams). By using a Smasher projectile (8.4 grams) from Less Lethal Ballistics you can enhance the penetration capacity of the Byrna LE. We also test the Smasher in the Byrna LE against the auto windshield. Results? Even with the Smasher, the Byrna LE does not have the power to penetrate a windshield. Please note… the Smasher projectile in a NxWerks Precision Pistelle X-68 launcher (40+ joules) easily penetrates a windshield. Thank you.
