Design & Build Quality
The TYR is built to a standard that most less lethal launchers don’t approach. Grimburg pairs a purpose-designed receiver with genuine Magpul furniture — K2 XL pistol grip, Magpul handstop, and sling mount — along with a UTG Pro 5″ M-LOK handguard. A regulated 9ci HPA tank mounts inline, and Grimburg includes the tank, regulator, and hard carry case in the base package. At 19 inches and 4 lbs, the TYR is compact for a rifle-format HPA launcher.
Power System — HPA at the Top of the Civilian Envelope
64 joules is a significant number. Most CO₂ launchers top out around 8–20 joules; even heavy T4E launchers rarely exceed 25J. The TYR at 64J occupies a completely different tier — one that produces genuine incapacitation effect through heavy clothing at realistic defensive distances. The 9ci HPA tank delivers approximately 40 rounds per fill.
